Inserts & Racks

The parts that make a pan you already own do a second job.

For anyone who already owns Mauviel and wants more out of it.

A steamer insert turns a saucepan into a steamer. A pasta insert lets you lift the pasta out rather than pour a stockpot of boiling water across a kitchen. A roasting rack lifts the meat clear of the fat so the underside browns instead of stewing.

All of them are sized to specific Mauviel diameters, so check the collection and the size before ordering — or send us the piece code and we will confirm.

La Manufacture

Villedieu-les-Poêles, since 1830

A Mauviel craftsman at the bench in Villedieu-les-Poeles

The town has worked copper since the twelfth century. Mauviel opened there in 1830 and has not moved since. Sheet copper arrives flat in four thicknesses and leaves as a pan: rolled, cut, spun over a wooden chuck, planished by hand where the shape asks for it, then tinned or lined with stainless steel.
